Shipps’ Travel Award for Assistant Professors
The Shipps’ Travel award for Assistant Professors supports travel by junior faculty to professional/scholarly meetings. Any tenure-track assistant professor in the School of Liberal Arts is eligible. Each award amount is up to $500, although in extraordinary circumstances a higher amount may be requested. Expenses that are eligible to be covered include any normal travel costs or conference fees incurred while attending a professional and/or scholarly meeting to make presentations or participate in panels that enhance the professional development of faculty as scholars or teachers.
Send a letter of application explaining the purpose of the travel and the benefit to you along with a breakdown of expenses and the amount for which you are asking to Candice Smith (canlsmit@iupui.edu). Submissions should be no longer than two pages.
