Alumni & Giving

A lifelong home for difference makers

The School of Liberal Arts is a community for life. Whether you’re an alum or a friend who believes in the power of a liberal arts education, you’re part of our network of deep thinkers and thoughtful doers.

You and the school still have a lot to offer each other.

A relationship that pays dividends, and a way to give back

When you stay involved with the school, everyone benefits. Make connections with alumni and local professionals. Attend events. Nominate people for our alumni awards. Serve on the alumni board. Hire for your organization. Guide our students just like someone guided you.

Our career paths may be sparked in our studies, but those flames are fanned by the people—teachers, mentors, teammates, coworkers, and friends—who surround us. Being part of the alumni network and our alumni board has reminded me that there are many people out there who want to see students and fellow alumni succeed. I’m thrilled to be among them, encouraging the next generation.

You’re a member of three impressive networks

As a School of Liberal Arts alum, you belong to three groups:

  • 24,000+ School of Liberal Arts alumni
  • 170,000+ living IUPUI graduates
  • 650,000+ living Indiana University graduates

All three are great sources of connections, support, and pride. The IU Alumni Association (IUAA), for example, has chapters and groups, events, and career resources that you can tap into throughout your life. New graduates get one free year of IUAA membership.
