Terry Helene Mills Award in Philosophy


This scholarship is to support extraordinary undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Philosophy at the School of Liberal Arts. Terry Helene Mills was an extraordinary human being whose life was devoted to supporting others. She served the School of Liberal Arts and the philosophy department for many years as the department’s administrative assistant.


Recipient will be majoring in the Philosophy. A GPA greater or equal to 3.5 out of a 4.0 scale required. Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate their aim to cultivate professional interest in the discipline of Philosophy. The department bases its selection on superior scholastic achievement, faculty recommendations, and special contributions to the Philosophy Department.


There is no student application to fill out. Faculty nominate and select students for this award. Nominated students will receive an email notification requesting additional information is completed utilizing the One.IU scholarship management system.
