Academic Achievement Award for Sociology

Overview

This award recognizes a graduating senior sociology major who has demonstrated the highest level of excellence in the study of Sociology.

Selection Criteria

The award is open to all Sociology seniors who have taken at least seven (7) sociology courses at IUPUI, have a GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 out of a 4.0 scale for IU sociology courses, and have graduated or expect to graduate in the academic year the award. The students must be nominated by a Sociology faculty member who has taught the student or supervised his/her work. The department bases its final selection on superior scholastic achievement, faculty recommendations, and special contributions to the Sociology Department.

How to Apply

No application, faculty nominated and selected. Nominated students will receive an email notification requesting additional information is completed utilizing the One.lU scholarship management system.
