Indianapolis native Angela was not merely the first in her family to graduate high school but did so as class valedictorian; before and since, her life has been spent both learning from and helping others. In her youth, for example, she was a 7-year volunteer for Indianapolis' radio reading service for the blind; at 15, she was put in charge of the media information services desk during the Pan Am Games. Angela benefited from journalism skills early on and later learned to see how many aspects of those relate to universal communication skills. She's learned that this is a bridge for many forms of problem-solving. As an associate faculty member and former course co-director, she enjoys helping both students and faculty solve problems.
