Biography

Professor Lovejoy teaches writing and literacy courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He directs the Graduate Program in Writing and Literacy and the Graduate Certificate in Teaching Writing, and is the editor of the Journal of Teaching Writing, a national journal for teachers of writing at all educational levels.

Academic interests

Rhetoric and composition, language varieties/"Englishes," language rights, teaching writing in linguistically diverse classrooms, academic writing, writing pedagogy, self-directed writing, teacher education.
