Biography

Casey Cawthon joined the Department of Communication Studies in 2011 as a student mentor in the Speaker's Lab. Casey quickly found that she loved working with students and although her undergraduate education was ending, she continued working in the Speaker's Lab when she began her graduate education. In 2012, Casey began teaching the Introduction of Public Speaking. Due to her love of teaching and working with students to find academic success, Casey continued teaching with the department after her Master's was completed in 2014. Casey was a awarded the 2011 Departmental Service Award, co-recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award in 2013 and was awarded the Outstanding Research Award for a Graduate Paper in 2014.
