The Chinese Culture Club at IUPUI is a student-run organization in which students create and lead activities and events in order to engage in and develop our understanding of Chinese language and culture. We hold weekly homework help sessions on Wednesday evenings, weekly language hours, in which we discuss various topics related to Chinese daily life and culture and learn relevant vocabulary.
Following language hour, we host weekly Tai Chi practice. Tai Chi is an internal martial art meant to exercise the body and mind. Tai Chi which has low physical demands but still provides a wide range of health benefits.
We also host a couple of cultural events each month. These can include, but are not limited to, movie nights, karaoke, cooking classes, and celebrating holidays. Our biggest of these events are Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations.
