End-of-Life Issues and HIP 2.0, August 8, 2019

Eskenazi Hospital, 720 Eskenazi Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46202, Room TBD

Medical care is often predicated upon a patient’s ability to pay. This session will discuss the medical care options available to HIP 2.0 patients who are near the end-of-life or require extraordinary medical interventions. The ability to provide life-saving treatments and palliative/ hospice care depending on ability to pay is an ethical dilemma physicians and other health care providers face when caring for patients with HIP 2.0.
