ICIC offers assistantships and internships for IUPUI students interested in integrating knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting.
Completing at least one internship or assistantship during college is an excellent way to be competitive for full-time employment after graduation. Data from the IUPUI First Destination Survey show that graduates who completed an internship were significantly less likely to still be seeking employment after graduation and even reported significantly higher salaries.

Graduate research assistants will be involved in the daily activities of the ICIC. While the main focus of RAs will be to assist in ongoing or new research projects at the ICIC, duties may include, but are not limited to:
Typically, shorter in duration than the Graduate Research Assistantships, internships offer graduate and undergraduate students with valuable professional development through involvement in the variety of research and education projects at ICIC. In some cases, internships may also be used to fulfill a degree requirement.
Each internship is unique in exact responsibilities depending on current ICIC programming as well as the needs of the students. In general, students will be involved in a variety of activities to provide administrative and research support to ongoing ICIC programs. Duties may include:
ICIC periodically offers volunteer opportunities to current undergraduate and graduate students at IUPUI. Volunteers have the chance to assist with the variety of programs and events ICIC organizes and hosts. Exact opportunities will be determined by the current programming and needs of ICIC.
