ICIC offers assistantships and internships for IUPUI students interested in integrating knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting.

Completing at least one internship or assistantship during college is an excellent way to be competitive for full-time employment after graduation. Data from the IUPUI First Destination Survey show that graduates who completed an internship were significantly less likely to still be seeking employment after graduation and even reported significantly higher salaries.

ICIC’s investment in producing timely research in intercultural communication, healthcare communication, and TESOL education, as as its commitment to providing high quality programming for partnering organizations, makes ICIC an excellent choice for students desiring to gain professional experience prior to graduation.
