Program Eligibility:
If you are thinking of being a mentor, any student in the school who has demonstrated the following can be a mentor:
- Has been a full-time degree-seeking student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI for at least one full-academic year
- A minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.5
- Plan to be enrolled full-time in the upcoming academic year
- A positive, outgoing and helpful attitude to help with students’ transition to the school and programming
Program Requirements:
Each student must commit to the following:
- Participate in the full length of the program (both fall and spring semesters)
- Attend a 1-hour mentor/mentee matching meeting in the first week of classes
- Meet at least once a month with their assigned mentee
- Attend one or more Liberal Arts programs and events throughout the program with their mentee
- Attend a full-day training in August prior to the start of the fall semester

Step 1: Complete the Peer Mentor Participation Agreement Form
Step 2: Complete the Application Peer Mentor/Student Matching Form
Step 3: Complete the Mentor Pre-Assessment Survey
All application materials must be received by the deadline for consideration. Successful applicants will be contacted to attend an interview to occur the beginning of April.
