Matt Preston with Catherine Dobris, WGSS Director
Iota Iota Iota (Triota) is a national organization which serves as both an academic club and honor society in our IUPUI chapter.
Triota was founded at IUPUI in 2017 by WGSS minor, Matthew Preston. The purpose of our organization is to encourage and support excellence in scholarship and service to the community which is consistent with our emphasis on women, gender, and sexuality.
Some recent projects have included celebrating IUPUI alumni who have contributed to the IUPUI community, working on an IUPUI panel celebrating women’s suffrage, supporting a student-led effort to restore period products to the IUPUI Campus Center, and participating in a Women4Change conference.
We welcome ALL students at the club level! We have meetings approximately once a month and love connecting with new members. Requirements for membership in the honors society are listed in the application form. There are also opportunities for leadership.
If you are interested in joining the Triota Club, but have not yet met the requirements, please fill out the application form and indicate your interest in the club member level. All are welcome and you will still be able to apply for honors status when you have met the requirements. Membership at the club level can be applied for at any time. There is no deadline.
*All new members will be inducted at the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Reception in the spring.
Please fill out the Triota Application Form and indicate your interest in the club or Honors level. You may contact the Triota President, Janice Day, with any questions.
