BA/JD Program

This program is offered to incoming freshman students and allows you to earn your Bachelor’s Degree and Law Degree in only six years with our accelerated BA/JD Program.

Program Details

During your first three years of study, you will take classes for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law in Liberal arts within the IUPUI School of Liberal Arts. During years four through six, you will work towards a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.

Qualifying for the BA/JD Program

Students must apply BA/JD Program by March 1st during the spring of their freshman year at IUPUI. High School Seniors are encouraged to apply for the program. Upon acceptance into the program, the student will prepare a course plan in consultation with the BA/JD academic advisor.

  • To qualify for the initial program, students must meet these minimum qualifications:
    • High School GPA: 3.5 or higher
    • SAT or ACT 50th percentile score or higher
  • To qualify for law school, students must meet these qualifications:
    • Undergraduate GPA: 3.5 or higher
    • LSAT Score: 155 or higher
    • Meet the application deadline—December 31st of Junior Year

The Law School will review the student’s application and make the final decision whether to admit the student to law school.
