We appreciate the generous support of our alumni, parents, students, and friends of the Medical Humanities and Health Studies (MHHS) Program. Your gifts enhance our Program in so many ways, from student aid opportunities to special events to new projects and more. Thank you for being our partner in changing the lives of current and future students.
Making an online gift through the IU Foundation’s online giving portal, called MyIU, is quick, easy, and secure. You can make a one-time, multi-payment, or recurring gift. The dropdown box will enable you to select the gift account that supports MHHS.
Chad Childers, a 2017 graduate of the Medical Humanities and Health Studies program in the School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI, was honored with the Flanner Buchanan Volunteer of the Month Award on Friday, April 19.
After learning about hospice in a sociology course on death and dying during his sophomore year, he began serving as a patient visitor volunteer at Kindred Hospice. Childers’ commitment to voluntary service as a student earned him a William H. Plater Medallion, an exclusive award that honors graduates who have excelled in their commitment to the community.
