PIE Student Association

The purpose of the PIE Student Organization is to provide language development, engagement, and involvement opportunities for IUPUI’s Program for Intensive English (PIE) students by:

  • Building bridges and facilitating interaction between PIE students and the IUPUI community at large through meet-ups, activities, and workshops
  • Fostering community engagement and service learning through volunteering in and around campus
  • Raising awareness of IUPUI’s PIE and its international students through interactive activities and multicultural celebrations
  • Acting as a form of student council through which PIE students can voice their opinions, ideas, and suggestions directly to PIE administrators
  • Providing opportunities for resume-building through the PIE Student Ambassador program

All PIE students are welcome to join the PIE Student Association!

IUPUI Student organizations

PIE students are IUPUI students and are welcome to attend IUPUI recreational and cultural events and join IUPUI clubs and organizations. IUPUI has hundreds of student organizations that bring together people with common interests. Check out The Spot for more information about IUPUI student organizations!

PIE Tutoring

The PIE offers FREE tutoring for PIE students! PIE tutors are American students in the School of Liberal Arts and can help you with anything from homework, a class assignment, preparing for a test, to completing an application or resume!

Conversation Partners

The Conversation Partners Program matches PIE students with IUPUI students, staff, and faculty interested in meeting students from other countries weekly for casual English conversation and mutual cultural exchange. PIE students will have the chance to sign up for the program during the first few weeks of class.
