Welcome to the Program in German in the IU School of Liberal Arts! Whether you want to minor or major in German, learn a new language for personal enrichment, or simply fulfill a requirement for your degree, you will find your place here.

A German degree will provide you with a solid grounding in the German language and a broad understanding of culture in the German-speaking world. Many of our students receive scholarships to study abroad. In recent years, we have had several graduating seniors return to Germany as Fulbright English Teaching Assistants.
