Our Mission

The mission of the IUPUI Max Kade German-American Research and Resource Center is to support German-American Studies through scholarly research, teaching, and service and the community by offering events on all aspects of German-American culture.

The Max Kade Center at IUPUI is committed to supporting our BIPOC students, colleagues, and communities. We stand firmly against racism, white supremacy, anti-Semitism, and other forms of oppressive and exclusionary speech and action. We will continue our work to create spaces for voices that lift up the values of diversity, inclusivity, and equity within the fields of German and German-American Studies through our community outreach, events, and workshops; through continual investigation and learning about our own positions of privilege; and to dismantling systems of oppression within the Center, supporting that work at IUPUI, and empowering students and other teachers and community members in their efforts
