Mohican Songs of the Spirit: An Evening with Bill Miller, April 8, 2018

7 p.m. Panel discussion
8 p.m. Music performance by Bill Miller

The Eiteljorg Museum, IUPUI and Spirit & Place are excited to present a concert by renowned Native American singer-songwriter, guitarist and flute-player Bill Miller (Mohican). Playing an eclectic mix of folk/rock, blues, and traditional Native flute, Bill Miller is a passionate, virtuoso performer whose music and stories give voice  to the voiceless and connect with his audiences across the nation.   Immediately before the April 5 concert will be a fascinating panel discussion with IUPUI religious studies professor Dr. Rachel Wheeler, Florida State University musicology professor Dr. Sarah Eyerly and Bill Miller. They will recount their project to bring back 18th century Mohican-language hymns that almost were lost to history. There is  no charge for the discussion and concert.
