I am a senior marketing major, and I am also completing a public relations certificate. For the past six months I have been interning at Eleven22, Inc. As a marketing intern, I have been working on marketing materials, communication tactics, and ways to increase our overall image and presence. Eleven22, Inc. is an LLC that specializes in offering individuals and businesses Aflac insurance, as well as Cincinnati Life insurance. Our mission is to educate business owners and individuals about health and life insurance, to implement customized supplemental insurance programs, and to provide unparalleled service to business owners and policyholders.

In my role as a marketing intern, I have experienced many real-life situations that allow me to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions. Having the opportunity to work with my boss Nancy has helped me gain a better understanding of how the insurance business operates, and how mutually beneficial relationships begin. I have worked on marketing materials such as infographics, social media posts, and our monthly newsletter that we send to all our valued accounts and policyholders. Currently, I am working on a marketing plan that will organize and streamline the marketing process. This will be helpful to standardize our material and how we go about marketing Eleven22, Inc.

Having done an internship during my time in college has been a great experience and learning opportunity. I will finish this semester with a better understanding of my major and what I want out of my future career. Building professional relationships will benefit my future immensely and I am more than ready to get out and start my career goals.
