Seven journalism and public relations students will serve as social media “ambassadors” for the department’s Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages this school year. The students will take turns sharing photos and videos of what’s going on in their lives, in their classes, at their internships, and in clubs they belong to on campus.

“Our goal is for our department’s social media to become increasingly filled with images of those most important to us – our students,” said Emily Turnier, director of outreach and career services for the department.

The students in turn will sharpen photography, videography, writing, and social media skills.

Senior Christina Poetz, marketing and public relations coordinator at the City of Fishers and vice president of IUPUI’s PRSSA chapter, will starting posting next week.
