Anne Donchin Women’s Studies Graduate Research Contest

Criteria

Open to any graduate student enrolled during the past year. A student who has graduated may submit work. Provided the paper was completed while the author was a student at IUPUI.

Submissions must address women, Women’s Studies, gender, or topics of special concern to women. Additionally, they must have been written for an IUPUI graduate level class from January 2017 to present.

Students may submit up to 2 papers. Papers should be 10 to 25 pages, including a Works Cited page in any recognized standard format.

A committee of the Women’s Studies faculty will judge the submissions. The committee will evaluate feminist scholarship, coherence, creativity, organization, originality, and overall writing quality. Judges will also apply standard research criteria to evaluate each project.

Complete the on-line Liberal Arts application and submit all materials through SAMS system.

Submissions should be typed and double-spaced.

The author’s name should NOT appear in the submitted essay but should be included in a separate coversheet. The following information should be provided in the cover sheet: Student’s name, address, email, and telephone number; Course number and name for which the essay was originally written, department, instructor name, and semester taken, and the title of the work submitted.
