Founded in recognition and celebration of members of America’s armed forces to provide student veterans majoring in Liberal Arts disciplines with support to obtain their degrees and move toward accomplishing their professional and personal goals.
It is the preference of the donors that the scholarship is given to a single student each year, unless the availabe funds exceed the student's established need, in which case additional recipients may be considered. In the event that there is not an eligible veteran in a given year, a student with a demonstrated significant commitment to community service who meets the other criteria may be selected. The number, amount(s), and recipient(s) of the scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee of the School.
The recipient will be an undergraduate student in good academic standing enrolled in the School of Liberal Arts. Recipients may be part-time or full-time students, must be of junior or senior standing with course work remaining, and must be United States citizens or permanent residents who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Selection will be based on financial need.

- Essay: Write an essay describing your past military and/or community service and how you plan to use your degree to help shape your contributions to American society. (maximum 500 words)
