Academic Achievement Award for Sociology

This award goes to a graduating senior sociology major who has demonstrated the highest level of excellence in the study of Sociology.

Process

The students must be nominated by a Sociology faculty member who has taught the student or supervised his/her work. The selection is made by faculty award committee and the recommendation is made to the faculty.

Criteria

All Sociology seniors who have taken at least 7 sociology courses at IUPUI, have a GPA average of 3.5 or higher for IU sociology courses, and have graduated or expect to graduate in the academic year the award is granted are eligible for the award.
