Larry J. Zimmerman Fund for Student Research Support
The Larry J. Zimmerman Fund for Student Research Support was created by colleagues, students, and friends to honor the career of Professor Emeritus Larry Zimmerman upon his retirement and to enhance opportunities to support student research in anthropology, museum studies, indigenous studies, and cultural heritage studies.
Undergraduate or graduate students who are studying Anthropology, Museum Studies, or American Indian Studies within the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI and are conducting research in anthropology, museum studies, indigenous studies, and cultural heritage studies are eligible. Expenditures may include, but are not limited to, costs associated with fieldwork and/or the presentation of research at conferences.
- A proposal for how the funds would be used that includes a statement of how the experience contributes to the student’s educational and/or professional goals, including a simple budget;
- the name of a faculty member who can serve as a reference; and
- a research design (as appropriate) or documentation of acceptance at a conference.
