Scholarships and Awards

Women's Studies ScholarshipWomen’s Studies is proud to offer several scholarship and award opportunities for students in the IUPUI community. Offerings exist for students pursuing Women’s Studies as a minor or major and for others who have overcome barriers or providing outstanding community service on behalf of women in Indianapolis.
Interim Program Director, Dr. Catherine A. Dobris, presents some Women’s Studies Scholarships to 2010 recipients: Michelle Embry, Shay Mays, and Michelle Wickham.

 

The Arminda B. and Jean C. Bepko Scholarship in Women’s Studies

This award provides a scholarship for an outstanding student minoring in Women’s Studies at IUPUI.


Dolores Donchin Memorial Service Award

This award honors an IUPUI student who has made a substantial contribution to Women’s Studies related service.


Indianapolis Women’s Rotary Club Scholarship

This award assists adult returning undergraduate students at IUPUI. Preference is given to women age 21 or older.


The Friends of Women’s Studies Scholarship

This scholarship assists students minoring or majoring in the Women’s Studies Program at IUPUI.


Frances Dodson Rhome Scholarship

Benefits students with a demonstrated interest in women’s studies or English Literature. Honors Dr. Frances Rhome, Professor Emerita of English. 

 


Anne Donchin Graduate Essay in Women’s Studies

This award honors an outstanding graduate paper written for an IUPUI graduate class from Jan 2010 to Dec 2010 addressing women, women’s studies, or topics of special concern to women.


Women’s Studies Undergraduate Essay Contest

This award honors an outstanding graduate paper written for an IUPUI undergraduate class from Jan 2010 to Dec 2010 addressing women, women’s studies, or topics of special concern to women.
