Be Recognized For Innovative Teaching with Oncourse CL
Faculty: Have you engaged your students in new ways using Oncourse CL? Share your story by applying for the Teaching with Oncourse CL Innovation Award, offered by Sakai and IBM.
The Sakai partnership is looking for teachers who use Oncourse CL (Sakai) technologies not only to make the teaching process more efficient or productive, but also to transform students' educational experiences through innovative applications.
If you win, you will receive a trip to Paris to participate in an award ceremony and a project showcase at the ninth annual Sakai Conference. If you are unable to travel to Paris, you will receive an honorarium and have opportunities for an electronic presence at the conference.

Don't Fall For Fake "IU" Email
Spammers send out millions of phishing emails trying to trick people into divulging passwords, personal information, account numbers, and more.
To help distinguish between spam and official IU communications, keep in mind that UITS will never ask for your passphrase -- in person, over the phone or chat, or via email.
If an email causes you to worry about your IT accounts, or to doubt whether IU is the actual sender, contact the Support Center as soon as possible:
Email: ithelp@iu.edu
Live Chat: https://ithelplive.iu.edu
Phone (24x7): IUB 812-855-6789; IUPUI 317-274-4357
Remember: Asking you to divulge your passphrase is a violation of university policy. Please report instances of this right away to itpo@iu.edu.
If you ever mistakenly share your passphrase, change it immediately: https://passphrase.iu.edu
For more information, visit: http://kb.iu.edu/data/arsf.html
Your Passphrase Is Your First Line of Defense
For safe and responsible computing, start by taking a couple of simple steps: never share your passphrase, and be sure to change or update it regularly.
Passphrases strike a balance between hard-to-remember but secure passwords including numbers and symbols, and easy-to-remember but less secure passwords with fewer requirements.
You can use simple, short sentences of five or six words with spaces -- so your passphrase can be anything from a favorite song lyric to a reference to a memorable conversation.
UITS is retiring password.iu.edu, so change your passphrase at: https://passphrase.iu.edu/
(Be sure to update your web links for future reference.)
