Hale and Frost Win Schultheis Outstanding Staff Awards

Carole Hale and Don SchultheisDon Schultheis and Kristine FrostCarole Hale, Office Manager for the Miriam Z. Langsam Office of Student Affairs, and Kristine Walter Frost, Associate Editor of the Santayana Edition, are the recipients of the 2007 Don W. Schultheis Outstanding Staff Awards. Ms. Hale is, according to her nominator, "the heart of our operation, working with staff who have various problems, directing students with nonacademic emergencies to the right people and taking the time to follow-up with students who have sought her help with academic issues of all sorts." Ms. Frost, wrote her supervisor, "in her quiet, efficient, and utterly congenial and collegial ways…has made a mark that shines well beyond the Santayana Edition…her dedication is well beyond the call of duty." Named for School of Liberal Arts business officer, Don Schultheis, who served Liberal Arts for 30 years, the Award recognizes noteworthy achievement in the past year as well as extraordinary and truly outstanding professional performance.
