Liberal Arts Student Ambassadors

The Liberal Arts Student Ambassadors Program provides students with the chance to network with faculty and community members, plus gain invaluable experience and exposure outside the classroom by promoting their School to students, alumni and the community.

Ambassadors do this by representing the School at special events, such as Deans’ Day, Black Expo, and Commencement, serving as host or hostess. Ambassadors also help the School with student recruitment, plus alumni and donor relations.

Being selected for the prestigious Ambassadors program is highly regarded and is a noteworthy addition to a student’s resume.  Because Ambassadors represent the School of Liberal Arts, they must ensure the School’s reputation is preserved. For this reason, after being nominated by a faculty member, candidates undergo an application and screening process that includes a personal interview. Applicants also must provide two references.

Once chosen, the successful candidate will be appointed by the Dean of the School of Liberal Arts for one year.
