Study in the Liberal Arts encompasses the social sciences and humanities, that is disciplines concerned with the study of social life of human beings and groups (like economics, political science, and geography) and those disciplines which revolve around study of the human condition (including English, history, and philosophy). Courses range broadly from survey, introductory offerings to highly specialized topical seminars for upper division students. Students can choose to take single courses in areas of interest, to meet general requirements of their majors, or to major or minor in the School’s many degree areas.
In this section of the Liberal Arts website you will find a real-time course browser—so you can see what current and future course offerings are—, listings of our centers and projects as well as our departments and programs, and information about curriculum and degrees. Please explore!
