The Effects Of A Holistic Approach To Cancer Care And Support Services, December 6, 2016

About 2.5 million or 2 in 5 Indiana residents will develop cancer during their lifetime. Many of these cancer patients will struggle not only with their diagnosis, but also the financial and emotional challenges that accompany the diagnosis. The EMBRACE (Encouraging Meaning and Balance in a Renewing and Comforting Environment) pro-gram that is offered at Eskenazi Health is attempting to bridge the gap for patients who are diagnosed with cancer and have the added burden of lack of resources and support, whether that lack is physical, financial, emotional, or a combination of these needs.
